Rules of the Road

There are certain 'rules of the road' to keep in mind when MM members are traveling together as a group:

_________________________________________________________________________

01- arrive at our designated meeting place on time, with a full tank of gas, and top down

02- the front car and rear car in our entourage carry walkie talkies or CB's monitoring channel 35 so that we can keep track of stragglers or any traffic hazzards that may be encountered along the way. Designated holders of these devices should keep them activated at all times.

03- turn your headlights on and keep them on [or at the very least your running lights] when in collective motion

04- stay a safe distance but as close as possible to the Miata in front of you, to facilitate our moving as a GROUP

05- move as quickly as possible through green lights or cloverleafs, to facilitate our moving as a GROUP

06- should you loose sight of the Miata immediately behind you for a period of time, slow down to allow them to catch up. This should have the effect of slowing down our whole group of Miatas

07- be alert for directional changes that the group may have to make in congested areas

08- practice down-shifting as a way to gently brake on hills or curves, using your Miata's capabilities to the fullest, instead of just its brakes

09- stay within the posted speed limit

10- in an emergency, repeated flashing of headlights can be used to signal the car in front to stop

11- show appreciation when the driver of a non-Miata vehicle moves out of our way!
