February 13th Chocolate Fest!

heartWhat better way to break up the cabin fever than to celebrate with CHOCOLATE!  Bonnie Thompson and her wonderful sisters have graciously opened their home to Mountain Miatas on Saturday, February 13th from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. We will be having a chocolate tasting extravaganza for all to indulge in. As the next day is Valentine's Day there will be an abundance of sweets available in local markets.

Members are invited to participate and to bring their favorite brand of decadence. Make sure your goodies are home made (by yourself or someone else), or else of a very tasty nature from somewhere like The Fresh Market or your favorite gourmet bakery. We are issuing a challenge to all enthusiasts to bring out your best for all to share.

Check out this website: http://www.burdickchocolate.com/ - Trust me, they are worth the time and expense to order. If anyone has another favorite site, brand or source, please add it to the forum posts.

Items will be divided into bite sized portions so that you will be able to taste everything and even take some home to enjoy. For those of you who don't want to overload on the sweets, bring some fruit and/or cheese to share and your favorite beverage. Coffee and hot cider will be provided.

RSVP no later than Thursday, February 11th to Georgiana by e-mail: gdeane@mail.com or by phone: (865)379-2399

*Check the club calendar for any last-minute updates and/or cancellations due to weather.

Take Middle Creek, go past the new hospital and look for a white w/black letters sign that says Foxwood, which is almost to the left turn onto Ernest McMahon Road. There is a turn lane for Ernest McMahon Road.

Turn onto Ernest McMahon and follow the road until you see a small white church on the right (on hill). Continue to the RIGHT up the hill which will turn into PULLEN ROAD. At the top of hill you will see a big blue water tower - LeConte Subdivision has a white railing fence before and after entrance to subdivision.

When you are almost to the BIG BLUE WATER TOWER start looking tothe right for LeConte Subdivision. Our street is the first RIGHT after turning into the subdivision. Go all the way to the end of the street.
